Do you feel like escaping the autumn depression with a trip to Europe? But you don’t know where to go due to the pandemic? In other words: you feel more confused every day because of the ever-changing situation?

To avoid this COVID-made confusion und to return to a safe re-opening of Europe, the European Commission launched a frequently updated online tool which you can check out here. To find the information you need to confidently plan your European travel and holidays, while staying healthy and safe, you can easily filter by EU Member States. Thanks to a transparent approach based on common criteria for member states, a step by step re-opening of European borders is now possible.

As OCEANERs are dispersed all over the world, the updated list for travellers from third countries to the EU can be of special interest.

The list contains countries for which travel restrictions should be lifted and will be updated every two weeks.
So far, travel restrictions for residents of the following countries should be gradually lifted by EU Member States:

  • Australia
  • Canada
  • Georgia
  • Japan
  • New Zealand
  • Rwanda
  • South Korea
  • Thailand
  • Tunisia
  • Uruguay
  • China, subject to confirmation of reciprocity

It’s time to plan your next trip to Europe!
