Farouk Kouider Moussaoui

Candidate for the position as “President” 

 

Tell us about yourself and what you are currently dedicating your time towards?  

I am from Algeria, I live in Khemis-Miliana city, Algeria. I have a master's degree in Political Science. I am currently dedicating my time towards volunteering for the Erasmus+ Community and non-profit Organizations. 

 

Do you have any previous experience with OCEANS and if so in what capacity?  

Yes I do. I have been a member of the Projects working group during the term 2020/21. I am currently Vice President of OCEANS as well as being in charge of acting President (2021/22). 

 

What motivates you to apply for this position?  

I seek to build up on the previous experiences & achievements during my mandate as Vice President/acting President, so I ensure stability and progression of OCEANS Network. Furthermore, I would like to improve my organizational skills and social networking. 

 

What skills and qualities can you bring to this position?  

I would offer adequate leadership, smooth communication and accountability. I am willing to fill-up the necessary competences in terms of membership, youth engagement, project management and event coordination. 

 

What are your plans and ideas for the future of OCEANS?  

  • Improve communication and increase transparency both internally and externally. 

  • Maintain vacancies in the working groups and reactivate members. 

  • Update the Statute, increase OCEANS visibility and distinguish its identity. 

  • Address funding and ensure enough financial support. 

  • Have in-person meetings for the Board and major events. 

  • Facilitate digital activities in critical moments. 

  • Support members' applications under the umbrella of ESAA project calls. 

  • Integrating members and improve inclusion in and around OCEANS.
